If you have got red light problems on your Xbox 360 or freezing and other similar problems then this article will tell you what causes this and how you can try to minimize the problems.
The first thing you should know is why these problems happen and is down to overheating. As the Xbox 360 heats up the soldering does become loose and then it can cause freeze ups while you are playing your games. If the problem continues the soldering can snap off and that is when you get the red lights problem.

So what can you do to try and prevent them?
Well the first thing that you can try is turning off your Xbox and unplugging everything including the hard drive and then they plugging it back in as sometimes the bad data on the hard drive can causes the problem.
The other thing you can try if this does not work for you is getting the power brick and standing it up off the floor as it will be able to pump out more air this way and sometimes the problems can be caused by the power brick overheating and not the Xbox 360.
Lastly if the 2 tips above fail then you should try and get some extra cooling and the best way to do this is get one of the fans that plug into the back of the Xbox, as if you think it only has 2 fans and a heat sink and personally I find the additional cooling helps!
If all else fails then you should ring up Microsoft customer support and let them know what problem you are having and they will arrange for your Xbox to be picked up and it will be serviced. The only problem with this option is the wait and it can take about 6 weeks to get your console back doing it this way.
